MEN’S AUSTRALIA

Team squad

Patrik Weiss: - The Australian Men's Beach Handball Team enjoyed their best ever result at World Championships finishing 11th in Brazil 2014. We are hoping to build on that success and upset a few more teams this time. I expect the team to play an exciting brand of beach handball that may trouble some of the more experienced teams.

KEY PLAYERS
James (Jim) Brennan
James (Jim) Brennan, goal keeper. Jim has represented Australia in the goals in 2013 at the World Games in Colombia and again in 2014 in Brazil. Besides his endeavours on the sand in beach handball, where he plays for the East Melbourne Spartans in Victoria (current Australian champions), Jim is also a talented Futsal player, in which he also represents Australia on the world stage.

KEY PLAYERS
Scott Nicholson
Scott Nicholson: Scott plays in the pivot position.  Scott has been a prominent force in the pivot since 2013 when he made his debut for Australia at the World Games in Colombia and he was also part of the team at Worlds in Brazil in 2014.  When he is not training on the sand or in the gym, he is in the pool. Scott has a background as an elite water polo player in the national league for Sydney, so he is used to getting pushed around!
