7th IHF World Beach Handball Championship in Budapest

The heart of the Hungarian capital, Budapest will be the venue of the 7th IHF World Beach Handball Championship on 12-18. July 2016. The tournament will be held at Palatinus Beach, on the middle of the Margaret Island of the river Danube. The Hungarian national teams will fight for the best positions. The Organising Committee has just introduced the official logo of the championship.
Right after the football European Championship, and before the XXXI. Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, the 7th Beach IHF World Beach Handball Championship will be a real summer feast in Budapest on the territory of the most popular summer beach and bath of the Hungarian capital. The tournament is an ideal programme for all handball-friends and also for those, who has not known beach handball yet. The logo of the 7th IHF World Beach Handball Championship represents all beauties of the summer: the heat of the sun, the seashore’s sand and all virtue of beach handball: beauty, airiness and the passion of the sport.
The Organising Committee counts on the enthusiasm of the Hungarian fans and handball-friends from all around the world. The national teams of the host country will fight for the best positions of the world championship, mainly the women’s squad, which became silver medallist both at the World Games (2013, Cali) and the last IHF World Beach Handball Championship (2014, Brasil).
